The announcement first reached the UPV community through Pagbutlak’s Facebook page, where we broke the news of Aljo Benedicto’s selection as the 46th USC Chairperson.

After the selection process, the 46th UP Visayas University Student Council formally took their oath of office on November 24, with UP Visayas Chancellor Clement C. Camposano administering the ceremony. The inauguration marked the council’s formal assumption of office. In their oath, the newly inducted officers affirmed their commitment to uphold student rights, advance student welfare, and carry forward the collective struggles of the UP Visayas student body.
